The M4 Patrolman's™ rifle series is the cornerstone of the Bushmaster Firearms® lineup. This hard-use duty rifle is what Bushmaster® is best known for. Handcrafted in America and Proven® to perfection, the M4 Patrolman's™ series is the ideal choice for duty use, recreation, and sport shooting.
The M4 Patrolman's™ MOE® Flat Top is chambered in 5.56 NATO (.223 Rem.) and features a 16-inch 4150 CMV barrel with a salt bath nitride finish. The barrel also has a 1:7 twist rate and a 1/2" x 28 thread pitch. Weighing just 6.3 lbs. (without the magazine), the M4 Patrolman's™ is easy to carry and maneuver.
The rifle features a carbine-length gas system, an F-marked A2 front sight, a 7075 forged XM15-CA™ lower receiver, and a 7075 forged A4 flat-top upper receiver. The salt bath nitride bolt carrier group is both durable and reliable, while the bolt itself has been MPI tested.
The Magpul MOE® SL® handguard, Magpul CTR® Carbine stock, and Magpul MOE® grip provide excellent ergonomics and shooting comfort. The Magpul MOE® Enhanced Trigger Guard and mil-spec trigger offer precise control, while the A2 flash hider and Midwest Industries Combat Rifle rear flip sight further enhance the rifle's functionality.

Why Is This Rifle California-Compliant?
Continuing the tradition of providing legal firearms to the American people, Bushmaster® has developed versions of its most popular firearms that comply with California firearm regulations.
Every California-compliant Bushmaster® rifle is equipped with a DFM® 10-round magazine, and the lower receiver model is designated XM15-CA™. In addition, every rifle shipped to a Federal Firearms Licensee (FFL) in California is approved by the California Department of Justice (DOJ).
The DFM® magazine requires the action to be partially disassembled before the magazine can be removed. As a result, no permanent modifications to the firearm are necessary. The magazine's limiting tabs prevent removal through the bottom of the magazine well and can only be accessed from the top when the upper receiver is tilted open.
Installation requires removal and reinstallation of the bolt catch.

Firearms Shipments:
In accordance with federal regulations, firearms may only be shipped to a licensed dealer. To avoid any delays in delivery, kindly ensure that you provide the FFL Dealer's information in the Shipping Directions when placing your order. If you do not provide the information with your order, we will reach out and request you provide us with your dealer's information to obtain a copy of their FFL. Once we receive the FFL, we will begin processing your order, and the lead time will start from that point. Lower Receivers Shipments:
Lower receivers are also considered firearms under federal regulations and require an FFL (Federal Firearms License) prior to shipment. Therefore, it is important to ensure that your FFL dealer sends us a copy of their license, along with your name and order number via email. We appreciate your attention to this matter as it helps us ensure a smooth and timely delivery of your order.
