True to its namesake — a naval signal meaning “job well done” — the SD II is built to exceed expectations in every environment. The Bravo Zulu™ SD II builds on the legacy of its predecessor with premium upgrades and modern refinements. At its core is an 11.5-inch barrel made from 4150 chrome-moly-vanadium steel, finished in salt bath nitride for superior durability and corrosion resistance. With a 1:7 twist rate, it offers optimal performance across a wide range of 5.56 NATO and .223 REM ammunition, making it as versatile as it is precise. The permanently attached MUTA® II BM556 suppressor is pinned and welded to ensure compliance, delivering compact, effective suppression in a duty-ready configuration.
The MUTA® II is about more than reducing noise—it also enhances overall performance. Weighing in at only 12.25 ounces, this suppressor delivers exceptional accuracy and repeatability. Additionally, the threaded front cap and removable baffles allow for easy opening and cleaning of the interior of the suppressor. Constructed from 3D-Printed Inconel® 625, the MUTA® II offers unparalleled lightweight construction without compromising longevity or functionality. It's innovative design makes it the lightest and shortest 5.56 dedicated suppressor from Bushmaster® to date.
Both the upper and lower receivers are forged from 7075-T6 aluminum and hard coat anodized, providing a solid, durable foundation. The carbine-length gas system is tuned for reliable cycling, while the salt bath nitride bolt carrier group, complete with an MPI-tested bolt, ensures long-term dependability even in high round-count conditions.
A 10-inch BFI® M-LOK free-float handguard provides ample space for accessories while maintaining a lightweight, balanced profile. Ergonomics are enhanced with Magpul furniture, including the collapsible Magpul SL Carbine stock and comfortable MOE® grip, paired with an enhanced trigger guard for gloved use. At the heart of the shooting experience is the DM2S™ two-stage trigger, offering a smooth, consistent break that promotes accuracy shot after shot.
Designed with the modern user in mind, the Bravo Zulu™ SD II features fully ambidextrous controls, including a safety selector, magazine catch, and charging handle, making it adaptable to any shooter or scenario. The rifle ships with a 30-round Magpul PMAG® and is proudly made in the USA.

The Bravo Zulu™ SD II features a permanently attached, pinned and welded MUTA® II 556 suppressor. This configuration is classified as a suppressor under the National Firearms Act (NFA).

Firearms Shipments:
In accordance with federal regulations, firearms may only be shipped to a licensed dealer. To avoid any delays in delivery, kindly ensure that you provide the FFL Dealer's information in the Shipping Directions when placing your order. If you do not provide the information with your order, we will reach out and request you provide us with your dealer's information to obtain a copy of their FFL. Once we receive the FFL, we will begin processing your order, and the lead time will start from that point. Lower Receivers Shipments:
Lower receivers are also considered firearms under federal regulations and require an FFL (Federal Firearms License) prior to shipment. Therefore, it is important to ensure that your FFL dealer sends us a copy of their license, along with your name and order number via email. We appreciate your attention to this matter as it helps us ensure a smooth and timely delivery of your order. The magazine capacity of the firearm will depend on the jurisdictional restrictions of your state of residence. We want to ensure you receive a product that complies with your state's regulations.
