Shipping Information

Bushmaster Firearms® Shipping Policy

Free Shipping Eligibility
Orders that fall within the current promotion guidelines are eligible to receive complimentary ground shipping.

Free shipping is not available for orders shipped to U.S. territories. Customers placing orders for delivery to U.S. territories will be contacted with the applicable shipping charges for payment prior to fulfillment.

Processing Time
Standard order processing typically requires approximately 7 to 10 business days. Please refer to the specific product page for your order, as extended lead times may apply.

Please be advised that lead times for order processing and shipment may be extended during periods of high volume, including but not limited to major holiday sales, promotional events, and fluctuations in market demand.

Additionally, changes in the political climate, proposed or enacted legislation, or other external factors may result in a significant increase in order volume, which can impact product availability and fulfillment times.

While Bushmaster Firearms® strives to process and ship all orders in a timely manner, we cannot guarantee standard lead times during these periods. Customers will be notified via email if any substantial delays are expected. We appreciate your patience and understanding during times of increased demand.

Order Processing Schedule

Orders are processed Monday through Friday during regular business hours. Orders placed on weekends or federal holidays will begin processing on the next business day.

NFA Item Processing Time
Orders containing National Firearms Act (NFA) regulated items typically require a processing and shipping lead time of approximately 8 to 12 business days. This timeframe accounts for the additional verification and compliance procedures mandated by federal regulations. Processing will not commence until all required documentation, including a valid Federal Firearms License (FFL) and Special Occupational Tax (SOT) certification, has been received and verified.

Shipping to Alaska
Shipments destined for the state of Alaska are subject to additional shipping fees. Applicable charges will be calculated and provided to the customer via email prior to fulfillment.

Shipping to Hawaii
Due to regulatory considerations and compliance requirements, Bushmaster Firearms® does not ship any products to the state of Hawaii.

Free Shipping Carrier Selection
Bushmaster Firearms® reserves the right to select the shipping carrier for all orders qualifying for free shipping. The method and carrier of shipment will be determined at the sole discretion of Bushmaster Firearms®.

Adult Signature Requirement
Pursuant to federal and state regulations, an Adult Signature (21 years of age or older) is required upon delivery for all shipments containing firearms, BFS triggers, or other regulated items. All shipments to addresses within the State of California require an Adult Signature, regardless of contents.

Shipping Methods
Bushmaster Firearms® primarily utilizes the United States Postal Service (USPS) and Federal Express (FedEx) for order fulfillment.

FedEx ID Scanning Policy
Effective June 28, 2022, FedEx® implemented a policy requiring government-issued photo identification to be scanned at the time of delivery for all shipments requiring an Adult Signature. This requirement applies to all such deliveries and is not subject to waiver.

FedEx ID Scanning Technology will:

  • Capture the recipient’s name associated with the ID and auto-populate the first initial and last name.
  • Confirm the recipient is 21 years or older.

FedEx states the ID scanning Technology will electronically capture the recipient’s name and automate age verification.

Link to FedEx’s complete ID scanning policy here: https://www.fedex.com/en-us/delivery-options/signature-services.html

If the recipient refuses to show ID as proof of age and signature, Bushmaster Firearms® will consider the shipment as refused, which will incur restocking or reshipping fees in accordance with our return policy.

Orders Placed Using a VPN

For security reasons, our system automatically flags orders placed using a Virtual Private Network (VPN) or anonymizing service as potentially suspicious. If an order is placed while using a VPN, we may require additional verification to confirm the purchase and the identity of the purchaser before processing or shipping the order. Failure to provide the requested confirmation may result in delays or cancellation of the order.

Required Contact Information
A valid email address and phone number must be provided with each order. Orders submitted without complete and accurate contact details will be considered incomplete and will not be processed.

Address Requirements
All orders must include a complete and verifiable shipping address. This address must correspond to a valid Federal Firearms License (FFL) holder for firearms shipments, or alternatively, the customer must provide the intended Federal Firearms License (FFL) transfer information in the order’s notes section. All shipments of firearms will be processed and fulfilled in full compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and licensing requirements governing the transfer, transportation, and delivery of firearms.

For non-firearm items, a valid residential or business address is required. Orders submitted with incomplete, inaccurate, or unverifiable addresses will not be processed and may be subject to cancellation. The purchaser is solely responsible for providing an accurate shipping address and ensuring their availability to receive the package upon delivery.

Orders submitted with unverifiable, incomplete, or suspicious shipping addresses—including mismatched billing and shipping states—may be placed on hold or canceled pending verification.

Bushmaster Firearms® will not refund shipping fees for delayed or returned shipments caused by incomplete or incorrect addresses.

Purchasing Firearms and Regulated Firearm Components from Bushmaster Firearms®

Purchasing a complete firearm or firearm lower receiver from Bushmaster Firearms® is easy, safe, and legal.

In compliance with federal law, all firearms must be shipped exclusively to a Federal Firearms License (FFL) holder. Upon placing your order, you must ensure that your designated FFL dealer provides a valid copy of their FFL license to us via email. This submission must include your full name and the order number associated with your purchase. If the required FFL documentation is not received within thirty (30) days of order placement, Bushmaster Firearms® reserves the right to cancel the order.

In the case of orders involving National Firearms Act (NFA) regulated items, the designated Federal Firearms License (FFL) holder must also submit a valid Special Occupational Tax (SOT) certification in addition to their FFL. Both the FFL and SOT documentation are mandatory and must be provided prior to the processing and shipment of any NFA-regulated products, in accordance with all applicable federal laws and regulations.

Please note that your order will not be processed or fulfilled until Bushmaster Firearms® receives the appropriate FFL documentation. The above-stated order processing lead time will commence only after the valid FFL information has been received.

FFL documentation should be sent via email to: ffl@bushmaster.com

Bushmaster Firearms® offers flat-rate shipping options for deliveries within the continental United States, with the exception of states subject to specific firearms sales restrictions, including Connecticut (CT), Delaware (DE), Hawaii (HI), Massachusetts (MA), Maryland (MD), New York (NY), New Jersey (NJ), Illinois (IL), Rhode Island (RI), Washington (WA), and the District of Columbia (DC). Orders destined for these jurisdictions will not be accepted.

Age Requirements for Firearms Purchases

In compliance with federal law and applicable state regulations, purchasers of firearms must meet minimum age requirements to be eligible to buy firearms from Bushmaster Firearms®. Specifically, customers must be at least 21 years of age to purchase handguns and 18 years of age to purchase rifles or shotguns, unless otherwise restricted by state or local law.

Bushmaster Firearms® reserves the right to verify the age of all customers at the time of order and throughout the Federal Firearms License (FFL) transfer process. Orders placed by individuals who do not meet the minimum legal age requirements will be canceled without exception.

By placing an order for firearms, customers affirm that they meet all age and legal requirements for ownership and transfer of firearms in their jurisdiction. The customer is responsible for complying with all applicable laws, including those that may impose stricter age limits or additional restrictions.

By placing an order, the customer affirms they are not prohibited under 18 U.S.C. § 922(g) from possessing or receiving firearms.

Expedited Order Processing

To help expedite the processing of your order, we encourage customers to proactively contact their dealer and request that the dealer’s Federal Firearms License (FFL) information and, if applicable, Special Occupational Tax (SOT) certificate be sent directly to the email address provided below. Providing this information promptly can significantly reduce processing time and help ensure a smoother transaction.

We cannot expedite processing without complete and valid FFL/SOT information.

All FFL documentation should be sent via email to: ffl@bushmaster.com.

Firearm Order Pickup

Customers are advised to contact their chosen FFL in advance of their purchase to confirm they will accept the shipment and to understand their specific procedures and requirements for pickup and transfer. FFL dealers may charge transfer fees associated with the receipt and processing of firearms shipped to their location; these fees are determined solely by the FFL and are the responsibility of the purchaser.

Upon arrival at the designated FFL, the purchaser is responsible for coordinating directly with the FFL to complete ATF Form 4473, all required background checks, and any other legally mandated transfer procedures.

Customers should allow their selected Federal Firearms License (FFL) Dealer adequate time to process any shipments. Please wait to be contacted by your FFL before attempting to pick up your order. If you have not received notification within 2 business days of delivery, we recommend reaching out to your FFL to confirm that the shipment has been processed and is ready for pickup.

Customers are solely responsible for inspecting their shipment immediately upon receipt and before completing the transfer. This inspection must confirm the accuracy, completeness, and condition of the items, including checking for any visible or concealed damage. By accepting the shipment and completing the transfer of the firearm, the customer acknowledges that the order has been received in satisfactory condition. If your shipment is damaged, incomplete, or otherwise unsatisfactory, please contact Bushmaster Firearms® customer service, and we will coordinate a return of the firearm with your chosen FFL.

Once the transfer is completed, the shipment is considered accepted, and the customer is liable for any costs related to replacement, return, or repair, including transfer, shipping, and handling fees.

This policy does not limit or replace the Bushmaster Firearms® limited lifetime warranty. Warranty-related defects or malfunctions discovered after transfer will continue to be covered in accordance with the terms of our limited lifetime warranty.

FFL Transfer and NICS Check

All firearm purchases require a National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS) check. This check is conducted to ensure the purchaser is legally eligible to own a firearm under federal law. The NICS check is mandatory for every firearm sale and must be successfully completed before the transfer can occur.

Bushmaster Firearms® is not involved in the background check process and does not assume responsibility for delays or denials resulting from the FFL’s transfer procedures. The purchaser must comply with all federal, state, and local laws governing firearm transfers, including providing any necessary documentation to the FFL.

In the event a firearm transfer is denied by the FFL for any reason other than suspicion of a straw purchase, or the purchaser is denied through the NICS background check process, the firearm may be returned to Bushmaster Firearms®, subject to applicable restocking fees and return shipping charges. All costs, fees, or penalties assessed by the FFL as a result of a denied transfer, whether arising from the FFL’s internal policies or the outcome of the NICS check, shall be the sole responsibility of the customer.

In the event your firearm transfer is denied by the FFL on the grounds of suspicion of a straw purchase, please see the below applicable policy.

Straw Purchases and Third-Party Orders

Customers are strictly prohibited from purchasing federally regulated products on behalf of another person or engaging in any transaction commonly referred to as a straw purchase. Each customer is responsible for ensuring that all orders are for their personal use and comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws.

If a transfer is denied due to a suspected straw purchase or any violation of applicable law, the customer will be solely responsible for all associated fees, including but not limited to the FFL transfer fee, return shipping and handling costs, and Bushmaster Firearms® restocking fee. Bushmaster Firearms® disclaims any liability for such fees or for the denied transfer.

In the event that the transferring FFL suspects a straw purchase, Bushmaster Firearms® will not reship the item to an alternative FFL under any circumstances.

Unclaimed Packages

Packages returned due to being unclaimed, undeliverable, or refused, where the customer fails to respond to outreach attempts, will be subject to restocking fees and additional shipping charges.

Shipping Restrictions
Due to regulatory considerations and compliance requirements, Bushmaster Firearms® strictly prohibits the shipment of any products to the following jurisdictions: Connecticut (CT), Delaware (DE), Hawaii (HI), Massachusetts (MA), New York (NY), New Jersey (NJ), Illinois (IL), Washington (WA), and the District of Columbia (DC). Orders with a shipping destination in these states or territories will not be accepted or fulfilled. Customers attempting to place orders shipping to these locations will be notified, and such orders will be cancelled without exception.

Bushmaster Firearms® encourages residents of these states to actively participate in their respective legislative and electoral processes, including voting and communicating with their elected representatives, to express their perspectives on laws and regulations that affect the availability and distribution of our products and products like ours within their jurisdiction. Engagement in these civic processes is an important means by which individuals can seek to influence legislative outcomes in accordance with applicable legal frameworks.

Magazine Capacity Restrictions
Due to state-specific magazine capacity limitations, Bushmaster Firearms® does not ship magazines exceeding 10-round capacity to the following jurisdictions where such restrictions are enforced:

  • California (CA)
  • Colorado (CO)
  • Connecticut (CT)
  • Delaware (DE)
  • Hawaii (HI)
  • Illinois (IL)
  • Maryland (MD)
  • Massachusetts (MA)
  • New Jersey (NJ)
  • New York (NY)
  • Rhode Island (RI)
  • Vermont (VT)
  • Washington, D.C. (DC)

Customers are responsible for ensuring that all products, including magazines, comply with applicable local, state, and federal laws prior to purchase and shipment. Bushmaster Firearms® will not ship magazines exceeding the legal capacity to the above-listed jurisdictions, and orders in violation of these restrictions will be cancelled.

NFA Shipping Policy

All shipments of National Firearms Act (NFA) items are strictly subject to compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Customers are solely responsible for ensuring that the receipt and possession of NFA items is lawful in their jurisdiction. We reserve the right to refuse shipment of NFA items to any location where such items are prohibited by law.

Orders Containing Firearms and Non-Firearm Items

In accordance with federal law and Bushmaster Firearms® company policy, any order that includes one or more firearms will be shipped in its entirety to a valid Federal Firearms License (FFL) holder.

When an order contains both firearms and non-firearm items, all items in that order will be shipped together to the designated FFL address provided at checkout. Non-firearm items may be shipped to a separate address only if a secondary address is specified in the order notes and the customer contacts Bushmaster Firearms® in advance to arrange payment of any additional shipping costs.

It is the responsibility of the purchaser to ensure that the selected FFL is authorized and willing to receive all items included in the shipment. Bushmaster Firearms® shall not be held liable for delays, refusals, or additional costs arising from an FFL’s refusal or inability to accept the shipment.

For compliance and security reasons, Bushmaster Firearms® does not split-ship regulated items unless requested and approved in advance.

This policy is in place to ensure compliance with applicable laws, minimize the risk of fraudulent transactions, and maintain a secure and consistent shipping process. Bushmaster Firearms® reserves the right to modify this policy at any time without prior notice.

Estimated Delivery Windows

Estimated delivery times vary depending on the selected shipping method, destination, and carrier processing times. The following delivery windows are provided as general guidelines and are subject to change based on carrier operations and external factors:

  • Standard Ground Shipping: Typically delivers within 3 to 7 business days from the date of shipment.
  • Expedited 3-Day Shipping: Generally delivers within 2 to 3 business days.
  • Next Day / Overnight Shipping: Delivery is expected by the next business day following shipment, provided the order is processed before the carrier’s cutoff time.

Please note that delivery times do not include order processing or FFL transfer times and may be affected by holidays, weekends, weather conditions, or other unforeseen delays. Shipping times to remote or rural areas may also exceed the standard delivery windows. Once your order ships, you will receive a tracking number to monitor the progress and estimated delivery date through the carrier’s website.

Bushmaster Firearms® utilizes USPS Priority Mail as the standard ground shipping method for most products. While USPS Priority Mail typically delivers within 3–7 business days, this timeframe is not guaranteed by the United States Postal Service (USPS) or by Bushmaster Firearms®.

As stated directly by USPS: (As of November 2025)

“In most cases, the expected delivery date printed on your receipt or provided at checkout will reflect a delivery time of 2–3 days and is based on origin, destination, and drop-off time. The expected delivery date does not come with a money-back guarantee.”

“Boxes and envelopes are delivered with your regular mail, usually within 7 to 10 days.”

Carrier shipping estimates begin after your order has been processed and shipped from our facility.

Order Tracking

After your order has been processed and shipped, Bushmaster Firearms® will send you a confirmation email containing the tracking number and details of the carrier responsible for delivery. This tracking information enables you to monitor the status and estimated delivery date of your shipment directly through the carrier’s website.

Please note that tracking information may not be immediately available at the time of shipment, as carriers sometimes require additional time to update their systems. Please allow one business day for these systems to update before contacting our customer support team. If you experience any issues accessing tracking details after one business day, please contact our customer support team for assistance.

Tracking notifications are provided as a courtesy to help keep you informed, but delivery times may vary due to carrier delays, weather conditions, or other unforeseen circumstances beyond our control.

Once tracking confirms delivery to the provided address, the order is considered fulfilled.

Battery or Hazardous Materials Shipping Policy

Items containing lithium batteries or other hazardous materials may require special shipping methods in compliance with carrier regulations.

P.O. Box Shipping Policy

Bushmaster Firearms® will ship to P.O. Boxes only for non-FFL and non-regulated items that comply with shipping carrier policies and all applicable federal, state, and local laws. Regulated items—including firearms, firearm parts requiring Federal Firearms License (FFL) transfer, and National Firearms Act (NFA) regulated products—must be shipped to a valid FFL Dealer and cannot be delivered to P.O. Boxes.

Please note that shipments to P.O. Boxes are subject to size and weight restrictions imposed by the shipping carriers. Oversized or heavy packages may be deemed undeliverable to P.O. Boxes and will require a physical street address for shipment.

Bushmaster Firearms® is not responsible for packages refused by carriers, returned, or lost due to being undeliverable because of size, weight, or any other restrictions associated with P.O. Box delivery.

Customers are responsible for providing complete and accurate shipping information. Bushmaster Firearms® is not liable for delays, delivery failures, or returned shipments resulting from incorrect, incomplete, or non-compliant P.O. Box addresses.

Bushmaster Firearms® will not refund shipping fees for delayed or returned shipments caused by incomplete or incorrect addresses.

Please verify your shipping information carefully to avoid delays or cancellations.

APO/FPO Shipping

Bushmaster Firearms® does not ship any products, including firearms, ammunition, accessories, or any other items, to APO (Army Post Office), FPO (Fleet Post Office), or DPO (Diplomatic Post Office) addresses.

Orders with APO/FPO/DPO addresses will be canceled.

Virtual Mailboxes and Mail Forwarding

Bushmaster Firearms® does not ship to known virtual mailboxes or mail forwarding services. Orders submitted with such addresses will be canceled.

Address Entry Errors

It is the customer’s responsibility to provide a complete and accurate shipping address at the time of purchase. Please double-check all address details—including street number, unit or apartment number, city, state, and ZIP code—before submitting your order.

If you realize that you have made a mistake after placing your order, please contact us immediately. We will make every reasonable effort to correct the address prior to shipment. However, once an order has been processed or shipped, we may be unable to make changes.

If an Incorrect Address Was Provided:

  • Before Shipment: If the order has not yet shipped, we will update the address at no cost.
  • After Shipment: If the order has already shipped, rerouting or recovering the package may not be possible. In such cases:

If the package is returned to us, we will contact you to arrange reshipment. Additional shipping charges will apply.

If the package is lost due to an incorrect address, Bushmaster Firearms is not responsible for the loss, and a reshipment will not be issued.

Please ensure all shipping information is accurate to avoid delivery issues and additional fees.

Order Cancellation Policy

Orders may be canceled prior to shipment, provided the request is received and processed before the order enters the fulfillment stage. Once an order has been packaged, labeled, or prepared for carrier pickup, it may no longer be eligible for cancellation.

To request a cancellation, customers must contact Bushmaster Firearms® customer support as soon as possible by phone or email. Submission of a cancellation request does not guarantee cancellation; confirmation must be received from a customer service representative for the request to be considered valid.

All cancellations are subject to review and approval. In some cases, a processing or restocking fee may apply, particularly for custom-built products or items that require special handling.

Bushmaster Firearms® reserves the right to decline cancellation requests for any order that has entered fulfillment, shipped, or is otherwise beyond the point of cancellation. If an order cannot be canceled, the customer may need to follow the return process after the order's delivery.

Refunds for canceled orders may take 3–10 business days to appear on your original payment method, depending on your financial institution's processing times.

This policy is subject to change without notice.

Shipping Damage Policy

All shipments are carefully inspected and packaged to ensure they leave our facility in good condition. However, if your order arrives damaged, it is important to report the issue as soon as possible so we can assist in resolving it promptly.

Reporting Damaged Shipments

If your order arrives with visible damage to the packaging or product, please do the following:

  • Do not discard the packaging or contents.
  • Take clear photos of the packaging, shipping label, and damaged items.
  • Contact Bushmaster Firearms® within 3 business days of delivery to report the damage and submit supporting photos.

Failure to report shipping damage within the specified time frame may affect our ability to file a claim with the carrier and provide a resolution.

Any shipments containing firearms are the responsibility of the customer to inspect immediately upon receipt and before completing the transfer.

Should any issues arise with the shipment that could have been identified through proper inspection, the customer will be fully responsible for all costs associated with a replacement shipment, including, without limitation, any transfer, shipping, and handling fees.

Shipping Damage Resolution

Once we receive the required documentation, we will initiate a damage claim with the shipping carrier on your behalf. If the claim is approved, Bushmaster Firearms® will provide a replacement for the damaged item(s) at no additional cost, subject to inventory availability.

Note: This does not apply to items sold in blemished or non-standard conditions.

We do not issue refunds or store credit for damaged shipments. Replacements are the sole remedy provided for damage incurred during transit, and only after claim approval by the carrier.

Bushmaster Firearms® is not responsible for damage caused by mishandling after delivery or for damage resulting from improper storage or use by the recipient.

Lost or Undelivered Packages

In the event a package is lost, misdelivered, or marked as delivered but not received, please contact us as soon as possible so we can initiate an investigation with the shipping carrier. Bushmaster Firearms® will work directly with the carrier to file a claim on the customer’s behalf when applicable.

Please note that claim processing timelines are determined by the carrier and may vary depending on the circumstances of the loss. Claims may require a written statement from the customer and/or confirmation from the carrier regarding the delivery status. We will keep the customer informed throughout the claims process and make every reasonable effort to resolve the issue in a timely manner.

Bushmaster Firearms® is not responsible for packages lost due to incorrect shipping information provided by the customer or for losses resulting from unauthorized package acceptance at the delivery address. Risk of loss passes to the customer upon delivery to the carrier, but we will assist in facilitating claims to the best of our ability.

If a package is lost, misdelivered, or marked as delivered but not received, customers must notify us as soon as possible so we can initiate an investigation with the shipping carrier. Bushmaster Firearms® will file a claim with the carrier on the customer’s behalf when appropriate.

Please note that claims are subject to the carrier’s investigation process and may take 7–30 business days or longer to resolve. During this time, we will keep the customer informed with updates as they become available.

Lost or Undelivered Package Reimbursement Policy

Bushmaster Firearms® does not offer refunds or store credit for lost packages. However, if a claim is approved by the carrier and reimbursement is issued, we will reship the original items to the customer at no additional cost, subject to inventory availability.

We are not responsible for packages lost due to incorrect or incomplete shipping information provided by the customer, or for packages accepted by unauthorized individuals at the delivery address. Reshipments will only be processed after confirmation of claim approval by the carrier.

Pre-Order Terms and Conditions

By placing a pre-order with Bushmaster Firearms®, the customer expressly acknowledges and agrees to the following terms: All pre-ordered products are offered subject to availability, and any estimated release or shipping dates are provided for informational purposes only and are not guaranteed. Bushmaster Firearms® shall not be held liable for any delays in fulfillment due to manufacturing timelines, supply chain disruptions, regulatory review, or other events beyond its reasonable control. Full payment is required at the time the pre-order is placed, unless otherwise explicitly stated, and such payment constitutes a reservation of the product, not a guarantee of delivery by a specific date. Orders may only be modified or canceled by the customer prior to the commencement of order processing or shipment. Once processing has begun or the order has shipped, no modifications or cancellations will be permitted. In the event that a pre-ordered product becomes permanently unavailable due to discontinuation, regulatory restriction, or other unforeseen circumstances, the customer shall be entitled to a full refund of the purchase price paid. Pre-ordered products will be shipped in the order in which they were received as inventory becomes available. Orders containing both in-stock and pre-ordered items may be held until all items are available to ship, unless the customer requests separate shipments and agrees to pay any additional applicable shipping charges. All shipments are subject to Bushmaster Firearms® general Shipping Terms and Conditions. Pricing is fixed at the time the pre-order is placed; however, Bushmaster® reserves the right to revise pricing for future orders without notice. Bushmaster Firearms® reserves the right to limit quantities on pre-orders due to high demand or allocation restrictions. These Pre-Order Terms and Conditions are subject to change at any time, and continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any such modifications.
