TO ALL BUSHMASTER CUSTOMERS REGARDING VARYING FIREARMS REGULATIONS IN THE U.S.A.
CAUTION! With the "Sunset" of the 1994 Assault Weapons Ban on Sept. 13th, 2004, Bushmaster can again offer features on the AR15 type rifle that had been deemed illegal for those 10 years - such as flash suppressors, bayonet lugs, collapsing telescopic stocks and high capacity magazines. Though that Federal legislation has expired, certain States have retained their own versions of "Assault Weapons Ban" Statutes, and prospective Bushmaster buyers should check their own State, County, and City laws to determine the local legality of rifles with these features and accessories.

A STATEMENT FROM BUSHMASTER REGARDING MACHINE GUN PARTS
The position of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) is that if your AR15 type rifle contains even one M16 component, it is a Machine Gun. If you own an AR15 from any manufacturer, check to make sure there are no M16 components in it's assemblies. If there are, remove them immediately. Machine them to AR configuration, or replace them and destroy the M16 components. If you have any questions about your parts, give us a call and we'll be glad to supply you with the legally acceptable parts.
Sales of components solely and exclusively necessary for fully-automatic operation of AR-derived firearms (i.e., full-auto AR lower receivers, and full-auto AR trigger sears) by Bushmaster Firearms International, LLC will only be made to the following categories of customers: (1) A Federal Firearms Licensee who holds a valid Class 2 or Class 3 SOT (NFA Dealer), and (2) an Individual or Federal Firearms Licensee who has an AR-derived firearm that is a registered machine gun under the National Firearms Act and can provide proof of registration status.
