Bushmaster Firearms International, LLC completes delivery of 3,200 M4’s to Texas Dept. of Public Safety.
Contract completion marked with award of Commemorative Rifle.
Windham, Maine — Bushmaster Firearms International, LLC (BFI) announced today that it's contract with The Texas Department of Public Safety (TDPS) for the supply of 3,200 Bushmaster M4A3 Type Carbines has been completed and delivered ahead of schedule. The Bushmaster rifles will replace the TDPS's current inventory of Ruger Mini 14’s.
Bushmaster’s CEO John DeSantis presented a commemorative M4 Carbine to TDPS Director Col. Thomas A. Davis at a recent Lake Brownwood, Central Texas Law Enforcement Appreciation Event. In making the presentation, DeSantis stated “We were extremely proud to win this competitive contract. We understand what these guns are used for, and the employees of Bushmaster are proud to partner with the TDPS in delivering this rifle to it’s troopers.”
Brad Locker of W. L. Carter Company, a Bushmaster Manufacturer’s Representative Group introduced the Bushmaster CEO and said “Texas can be proud that its cruisers and troopers are carrying Bushmaster rifles. The reliability and durability of these rifles are well-respected.” G.T. Distributors in Austin, Texas was the contractor for this bid.
The program involved an eight month commitment from Bushmaster to deliver 400 rifles per month. The contract also includes a requirement for Bushmaster to provide Armorer’s Course Training at the Texas Department of Public Safety’s Florence and Austin facilities.
Bushmaster Director of Law Enforcement & Government Sales, Israel M.
