Yet ANOTHER, 'POST BAN' question. Sorry, I know that you guys get these all the time, but I have seriously been trying to find out and can't without the experts, that's you guys. Alright, I have one of 'those' ar-15's and m-4's both of which are post ban era carbines. Now, how in the world am I able to get that stupid a$$ compensator off of the danged barrel. You might call it a 'muzzle break'? But, I'm a Marine and we call it a 'compensator' I want to be able to get the stupid thing off so that I can slap something else on there. Please, any help at all would be great, even if I HAVE TOO! I will go to a gunsmith to get it done, even though I'd love to just do it myself. Again, ANY help you can give me would be great. Thanks, -Matt
I have a Busmaster XM-15 E2S and I am thinking about replacing the flash hider with a muzzle break. How can I tell if the break is pinned and or welded. It does not look like it is because I can not see a pin or any welds anywhere near the flash hinder, but I would like to be sure before I try to remove it.
AFTER REMOVAL OF PERMENENTLY INSTALLED FLASH HIDER HOW IS NEW INSTALATION MADE PERMENANT
Good Day- I have a XM15-E2 with a 16" shorty barrel. I am looking for a flash suppressor and am wondering which will work with this model. The barrel does not have external threads as required on some suppressors. The end of the barrel is slightly narrower than the rest of the barrel. I am unsure if a suppressor for this just slides over the barrel and is held by friction or if it needs to be secured by a locking screw etc. Thank you for your assistance
I have a Bushmaster model # xm15-e2s, that I purchased new in Florida in 2008. Is this flash hider simply threaded on, or is it pinned and welded? It has a fluted barrel which is 16" without the flash hider and about 17 3/4" with it. If it is pinned and welded I sure can't spot it. Thanks, Rick
I have a Carbon 15 M4 I purchased new (223). I want to put on an after market muzzle brake w/ 1/2x28 threads but I am having a great deal of difficulty getting the original suppressor off. I believe I have it rather secure in the vise but it seems to be on very tight. Any suggestions? Thank you.
What is the difference between a slip-on shorty look standard flash suppresor and a slip-on shorty look heavy flash suppresor. I have a 16 inch bushmaster heavy barrel and I can't decide which slip-on flash supressor to get. What's the difference?
