Is a Stainless Steel barrel any better than a chrome lined?
I recently purchased a XM15 E2S M4 A3 and see from your site that all Bushmaster barrels are chambered for both the 5.56 NATO and .223 ammo. I thought I had read on AR15.com that Bushmaster stamped the barrels identifiying them as 5.56 NATO and .223 chambered, however, my barrel is not marked anywhere with this information. I even removed the hanguards and looked. Is this correct that you do not stamp the barrels?
What is the maximum bullet weight that I can fire in my Bushmaster?
Non-Chrome Barrel Breaking in procedure
What is the difference between ChroMoly Vanadium Steel and traditional steels? I have a Predator (non chrome lined) and know that cleaning is absolutely important but that chrome can withstand rust. Is there an advantage to the ChroMoly vs. traditional steel or will it rust just as easy?
About how many rounds have to be fired before a performance degradation is present? Does the SSlO9 cause more rapid barrel wear than regular "over the counter" ammo with heavier bullets?

I have a Remington R15. I understand that it is actually manufactured by Bushmaster. The barrel is stamped .223. I own a Bushmaster Varminter 24 inch upper and a Bushmaster Predator 20 inch upper. In comparing the uppers, side by side it is obvious that the R15 upper is made by Bushmaster. I have considerable experience with AR15 rifles and their ammunition and find it hard to believe that the R15, manufactured by Bushmaster would have a barrel that has a different leade that would restrict it from firing 5.56 ammunition. Can I fire 5.56 ammo in my R15 without problems?
I purchased a carbon 15 with a superlight barrel. I would like to put a 16" bull barrel on it. Do I need any special adaptive parts to match an AR 15 16" bull to the carbon 15 upper?

I have a 76' sp1 colt ar-15. However it has the rifle front handguard with a carbine barrel. My question is will I be able to purchase a carbine front handguard and gas tube and just slide the front site back to make it correct on barrel. Or should I just get a rifle barrel?
Is the ACR barrel more durable than chrome lined barrels, such as the M4 barrel? What is it lined with? Thank You Reuben
I just sent an e-mail regarding the ability to purchase a DCM rifle in MA. I have another question, I already own one of your DCM rifles I purchased when I lived in Michigan (I bought it around 1998 or 1999). This barrel appears to be chrome lined and I think I read in the literature that accompanied the rifle that it was chrome lined. I now see that you make a point of noting that the DCM barrels are not chrome lined like most of your other barrels. I assume this means non-chrome lined is better in terms of accuracy. Can you explain the performance differences between chrome lined and non-chrome lined. Under what circumstances would one want to use a chrome lined barrel, and when would one want to use a non-chrome lined barrel. I appreciate any clarification you can provide. Best regards,
Will a standard AR-15 barrel nut, Delta ring, spring etc fit the 450 bushmaster to replace the free float barrel nut?
