Original "Birdcage" from the Viet Nam era, this suppressor has six equally spaced slots all around - needs no specific slot timing. Standard 1/2" x 28 T.p.I. threading. For installation use the Flash Hider Lock Washer.

Note: Even if pinned on/welded over, the A2 Birdcage Flash Suppressor is NOT long enough to make a 14.5" barrel legal for use on a semi-auto rifle.

Bushmaster "Izzy" Flash Suppressor/Compensator |
One of a series designed by a Bushmaster employee - features 3 gas ports, a machine turned ribbed design, and a closed bottom. It is bored to function as a Flash Suppressor, but also effectively controls muzzle rise in rapid fire. Quality gunsteel - manganese phosphate finished - 2 3/16" overall length - threaded 1/2" x 28 T.p.I. (threads per inch) for 5.56mm/.223 Rem. caliber barrels. Install using a 3/4" open end wrench and a crush washer or peel washer.

Same design as above,but slips over muzzles of .700" diameter and is held in place with a taper pin and highstrength Loctite for extra safety. Warning: This Compensator requires factory installation, or professional gunsmithing, to drill and install the taper pin.

A 5.56mm/.223 Caliber Muzzle Brake - production approved by the BATF - featuring four gas ports and a ribbed design to improve cooling. Machined of 4140 gun steel with a manganese phosphate finish - very effective in controlling muzzle rise. Slip-on/taper pinned version for barrels with plain crowned muzzles, and threaded model (shown left - threaded 1/2" x 28 T.p.I.) can be installed without regard to port location (timing) and will still be effective, however most are installed with ports positioned 12 - 3 - 6 - 9 o'clock. The slip-on, pinned version requires factoryinstallation or professional gunsmithing to drill and install the taper pin, andfor extra safety,highstrength Loctite should be used in addition to the taper pin. Bushmaster Izzy Brake for plain muzzles .700" diameter - requires gunsmithing.

Russian Design AK74 Type Threaded Muzzle Brake |
A 5.56/.223 caliber copy of the very effective Russian Military brake found standard on the AK74 Rifle. Screws onto threaded muzzle barrels and locks in place with an Allen head set screw (Note: a peel washer is required for correct timing during installation). 3" overall length. Muzzle climb is controlled by three upper gas ports - recoil is diminished by four 45� ports directing gas at an angle from the weapon, and a contoured flat at the end of the brake directs gas sideways.

Threaded Muzzle Brake / Flash Suppressor Adaptor for Bushmaster Carbon 15 Models |
Some Carbon 15 Rifles and Pistols have been manufactured with a unique Quick Detach Compensator that slips onto the specially machined muzzle, and locks in place by means of a spring loaded, ball detent collar. This Collar Adaptor allows the installation of standard flash suppressors and compensators on those Carbon 15 models by threading onto the collar, and installing on the muzzle in the usual manner. Machined from high quality steel and aluminum; matte black finished; threaded 1/2" x 28 T.p.I. pitch for standard .223 / 5.56 suppressors/compensators.
Note: If you intend to attach a suppressor or compensator which requires a particular position ("timing") for fully effective functioning, order a Crush Washer (# 12991533B) or a Peel Washer (# 9349052)

Y COMP Muzzle Brake for Threaded Muzzle Barrels |
These 5.56mm/.223 compensators are threaded to fit "Pre-Ban" AR barrels. The Y Comp overall length is 3 1/4" - the Mini Y Comp is 2 5/16" overall length. Order either a Crush Washer or Peel Washer for installation. These brakes are for barrels with muzzles threaded 1/2" x 28 T.p.I. (threads per inch).
